The method

Agent Relay is built from a few plain beliefs: the human should not be the hallway, state belongs somewhere inspectable, a task is not a prompt, and receipts beat vibes. Three guides put that to work.

01 · The Relay Loop Audit

A handoff is ready to leave the chat when work can move to the next actor with no spoken explanation from you. The audit is the one pass that checks it — nine questions, each mapped to a part of the task record. Any “no” is the gap to fix before you hand off.

02 · Prompt Craft

Prompting is not one skill you sharpen — it's a climb. Ask gets an answer. Frame grounds it in real source. Bound makes it safe to run unattended. Hand off lets the work leave the chat entirely. Climb only as high as the work has to travel.

03 · The 30-Minute Relay

You don't need a project to start a relay. You need one real handoff and thirty minutes — six five-minute blocks from a named workspace to a live dashboard. If it doesn't fit in thirty minutes, the first task was too big. Shrink the task, not the method.
